October 27 is National American Beer Day

Today is National American Beer Day. We only know this because various news outlets like CNN seem to be reporting it, thought we can't find definitive information on who dedicated this day (and this month) to American beer. Not even the Brewers Association website seems to mention it.

But whether it's real or not, let's all spend the day (and maybe the weekend) drinking some good old American beer.
